Projects

In addition to its core activity of storing, processing and providing the availability of the legal deposit archive, NAVA also undertakes tasks increasing the value of the archive. The objective of such related projects is to ensure the structured accessibility of the available and continuously expanding content, to create the framework for reusability and to support the technological background of the archive by high quality services and tools.
 
Current projects within NAVA:

 P2P-Fusion - Funded by the EU, this 3-year long project, launched in June 2006, involves a 7-member international consortium. The project develops new tools supporting the p2p-based reusability of creative audiovisual content to enhance the activities of communities actively using audiovisual content.

 VideoActive - Funded by the EU, this 3-year long project, launched in September 2006, involves a 12-member international consortium. The project ensures that a uniform part of the content of European national audiovisual archives will be available  on an independent interface for users and searchable in their national language.

 Adapting digital and IP television technologies - internal R+D project.

 Educational project - the creation of an independent interface, similar to international examples, to support the accessibility and use of contents in the NAVA archive in primary and secondary school education.

OTHER COLLECTIONS

Search NAVA's other collections: 100 Hungarian films from 1941-1981, pre-war newsreels as of 1931, scientific presentations (Encompass - Mindentudás Egyeteme), examination films of University of Drama, Film and Television, films from the Mediawave festival. Search is available only in Hungarian.
